The Valencian town of Cullera will be the starting point of the third edition of Setmana Ciclista Valenciana - Vuelta Comunidad Valenciana Féminas. Last Tuesday was presented at the Municipal Auditorium of Cullera the exit of the first stage of the tour, in the course of an act in which was present the Councilor for Sports, Javier Cerveró, and the director of the test and president of Club Ciclista Escapada, Rubén Donet

Cerveró recalled that 2019 "will be the year of cycling in Cullera" with the presence of the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana - Vuelta Comunidad Valenciana Féminas and, later in August, with the start of the fourth stage of Vuelta a España.

Likewise, Cerveró stressed the importance of making the municipality and the women's sport visible. "I am sure that the presence of the female tour will be an example for girls who practice base sports in Cullera to see that, with effort, you can achieve levels as high as those achieved by the elite athletes that we will have among us", he said.

The first stage will leave, therefore, Cullera on Thursday, February 21. It will do it from the center of the city, in Jardines del Mercado. Cyclists will visit emblematic areas of the municipality, such as the Faro area, to total 16 kilometers. Then they will leave the coastal town and visit the regions of Ribera Baixa, Ribera Alta, La Costera and La Safor, summing up 126 kilometers.
